For those of you that do not know, over the summer Andreas was out enjoying a ride on his motorcycle when he was sideswiped by an unlicensed and uninsured driver. Andreas was left with broken bones and his foot was nearly severed from his body. The doctors were miraculously able to reattach his foot and he is making a recovery. Since the driver had no insurance, however, he has been left to shoulder the entire burden of the exorbitant medical bills.
We have 4 great bands booked (scroll down for details), guest DJs, BBQ and drink specials. We’ll also hold a raffle with prizes from The Grand Victory, Roberta’s, Coda Skateboards and more.
The Grand Victory will be donating a portion of bar sales as well. So the more you drink the more money goes to help Andreas.
So come over and get to drinking’!
- Neckbeard Telecaster are a bunch of dudes (and we mean a BUNCH) who make lighthearted porch jam pop songs like this one. Read here where Jezebel Music compares them to The Band’s Last Waltz.
- If you’ve been in Brooklyn since before our current calendar decade (like we have), you might remember TK Webb (like we do)— the talented rootsy folkster who haunted Williamsburg until he moved to Columbus in 2009. Sundown is TK’s bigger, noisier project, and you can watch some of their videos here.
- From the Silicone Sister Facebook bio: “Once upon a time two men met in a bar. They spoke civilly about war, music, and Cassandra Valentine. Later they became Silicone Sister. Later like the hot alien hooker in Total Recall, the band grew a third tit. We named it Eric Messina and taught it to play bass.” Listen here.
