Thursday, September 20th 2012: 7PM-Loud Lavender // 11PM-Peep’n & Creep’n (feat. DJs Dave Hawk & Frank Garcia)

TONIGHT’S SHOW ($8):

  • Loud Lavender‘s got one song online and it’s great.  It’s sort of a noisy merging of Built To Spill and Death Cab, super fuzzy guitars and earnest vocal hooks sprawled across three minutes and twenty five seconds.  You can listen to it here.

.
.
  • Earworms are, according to their Facebook bio, interested in “speeding up the oscillation of our molecules in order to bust this paradigm of limitation we’ve been tricked into giving validity to.”  If they have any music online we can’t find it.
.
.
.
  • Low Fat Getting High are fast, noisy and shouty.  We’d call it punk but the vocalist is too talented.  Like Chris Cornell’s punk little cousin or something.  Shades of very Bleach-era Nirvana.  A trio with muscle and energy.  Listen here.

  • Of Go Sell Drugs, Razorcake says “Their chosen medium is a hybrid of Hardcore and hardrock with the delivery ratcheted up with so much intensity that in the hands of lesser men would probably not be 1/12 as effective. Impressive, i gotta say.”  Listen here.
