- “Jane Eyre is a new psych/glam/punk rock band from Brooklyn. Pitched somewhere between Roxy Music and Dinosaur Jr, they recently completed the recording of their debut album with engineering assistance from Elio DeLuca (Titus Andronicus, Hallelujah the Hills) and mixing from Jake Aron (Jamie Lidell, Yeasayer, Fort Lean). JANE EYRE’s performances utilize costumes, fake blood, strobe lights, bubble guns, tape loops, projections, and a homemade shrine to R. Buckminster Fuller.” Listen here.
- “Ben Seretan was born in southern California and now lives in considerably tighter quarters in Brooklyn. A longtime and current member of rock and ambient group projects, his solo music finds the space in-between — rife with silences, stabs of noise, drones, and the ringing of the heavens. He takes cues in equal measure from Joni Mitchell, the Minutemen, Terry Riley, and Prince. His latest endeavor is a collaborative record with Portland-based The Early.” Listen here.
